Good Luck Ms McMenamin at the Coolangatta Race, Australia

Everyone at Faugher School wants to wish our Resource Teacher, Tríona McMenamin, the very best as she heads off to Australia to compete in the Coolangatta Gold Race. This is one of the most challenging endurance races in surf sports. The  event will take place on October 15 and 16, 2016. The multi-disciplinary 32.4km short and 41.8km long courses combines swimming, running, board paddling and surf skiing. Tríona has been training very hard all year to compete in this race and whatever the outcome we are all very proud of her here in Faugher.

She has also brought Ted with her (for company and support!!) and we can’t wait to hear how she and Ted got on Down Under. You can keep up to date with Ted’s travels and adventures on Twitter @mrsmcdaidsclass .
